Yes. Upload your .docx file and GrinTale detects the chapters automatically: before creating anything it shows you a preview with the list of chapters found, and you choose whether to import them as separate documents or as a single one.

Yes. In Google Docs, download your file via File → Download → Microsoft Word (.docx) and import it into GrinTale. Heading styles carry over and chapters are detected automatically.

Yes: to PDF (A4, A5, B5 and Letter formats with custom margins), to DOCX for Word, and to EPUB for e-readers and self publishing. You choose which chapters to include.

Yes. GrinTale is a web application: it works in any modern browser, on any operating system, tablets included. There is nothing to install.

No. GrinTale runs in the browser and saves automatically to the cloud, so you need an internet connection. In return, your work is there from any device, with nothing to install.

No. GrinTale has no built-in AI writing for you: it is a space to organize and write your own texts. The words are yours.

Structure. Instead of one long document you get chapters and scenes you can reorder by dragging, character sheets linked to chapters, a corkboard to see the whole story at a glance, and snapshots to go back to earlier versions.

Italian, English, French and German, both the interface and the website. You can switch languages in settings.

Your texts are saved automatically to the cloud as you write. You can create snapshots to keep earlier versions of any document and protect your account with two-factor authentication.

Yes, anytime from settings. Your access stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, with no extra charges.

You can no longer log in, but your texts are kept: for 90 days after a trial expires, and for 12 months after a subscription expires. If you subscribe or renew within that period, you find everything as you left it. We remind you by email before the expiry date.
